On Location with the Linen Scarf.
Nothing quite compares to linen.
An inherent luxuriousness. A lightweight feel. The slightest yet unmistakable sheen.
As colder weather beckons, the light layers of our new Linen Scarf makes for convenient comfort.
Crisp yet cosy, in a palette of earthy hues, our Linen Scarf is woven with the highest quality OEKO-Tex-certified threads.
Threads grown in the Flanders fields of Europe, then pulled, retted, scutched and spun by our supplier in Bergamo Italy, before making their way to the Mungo Mill where they’re warped, woven, cut and pressed into perfection.
Beyond it’s enduring quality, the defining characteristic of the Linen Scarf that is each meter of cloth is unique, and bears the creative hand of the weaver.
This is due to the random loading on the pirns (the rod around which we wind the threads) into the shuttle (the pirn-carrying bobbin that carries that weft across the warp).
The result is that each sequence of colours runs differently, creating a scarf that’s distinctly one of a kind.
The Linen Scarf is now available in Dandelion and Marsala.
Shot in Grootbank, near Plettenberg Bay.
A rich and rugged coastline, near to where we make our home.
